ROTARY CLUB OF TEMPLETON

CLUB ACTIVITIES SINCE JULY 1, 2009.

•   Annual 4th of July hot dog sale fundraiser

•   Club Picnic in the Park

•   Creston Horse Show Fundraiser and Club Awareness

•   Donated $500 to assist Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary Club obtain a grant to provide Compustala, Mexico with a Diabetes Clinic

•   Donated $200 from “Change for Children” fund to help purchase a Thesaurus for each child entering 4^th grade at Vineyard Elementary School.  This was a joint effort between the Templeton Rotary Club, Templeton Chamber of Commerce and the Templeton Kiwanis Club.   Each book displays the Rotary Club of Templeton I.D. inside the front cover.

•   Awarded a Paul Harris Fellow to Club member Randy Mather

•   Passed out 1000 American Flags at the 4th of July Parade.  A card was attached to each flag providing information about the Rotary Club and extending an invitation to join us for breakfast.

•   Celebrated with other Templeton Service Clubs, the Templeton Kiwanis Club’s 25th anniversary

•   Welcomed back three “old” members and inducted  “seven” new members.

•   Performed first quarter road cleanup on Las Tablas Road as part of the County’s “Adopt-a-Road” Program

•   Established the 4th Thursday of each month for an “after work” social get together at Penny’s Restaurant

•   Gourmet Cooking Demonstration by Chef Ian McPhee to benefit scholarships and the Foundation

•   Commenced and completed a Club Strategic Plan

•   Sponsor Under-6 Coed Youth Soccer Team - $125.00

•   Conducted a Club meeting at the Community Center as a money saver

•   Sponsor TCSD Halloween Carnival event for children

•   Group II Thanksgiving Luncheon

•   District Governor's Reception (Club Social) at Nancy's

•   Donation of $109.00 to Templeton Youth Center for postage for gift boxes to troops in Afghanistan

•   Founders’ Day event – cow pie throwing booth

•   Bike Ride – Wine & Roses

•   Cowboy Christmas – Snow Slide & Play Area

•   Sponsor Templeton High Jazz Choir ($100)

•   Rotary Holiday Party at Adrienne’s

•   Foundation purchased 18 wheel chairs at $56.00 each

•   Contributed $45 in fundraising monies to each member’s Paul Harris

•   Barbie newsletter in paper – Dom updated website/facebook

•   Chile Relief Fund $100 donation

•   Haiti Contribution of $250 for Disaster Assistance

•   Leadership & Ethic’s Conference at Templeton High School

•   Donation of $500.00 for promotion of North County Health Fair

•   Joint Meeting with Paso Sunrise—Templeton won Game!

•   Donation of $100 for Vineyard Elementary Tree Planting Program

•   Foundation/International Donation of $200 for Grant Assistance to Cambria Traditional Birth Attendant Training Program

•   Read Across America – Vineyard/Templeton Elementary

•   4 Rotary International/Foundation benefactors

•   Participated in the April 24^th Health Fair at Twin Cities Hospital

•   Renovated the benches at the Templeton Cemetery and planted additional landscaping

•   Continued sponsorship of Willie Nsubuga, a student in Uganda

•   Club tour of Diablo Canyon Power Plant

•   Provided two $1,000 scholarships to graduating Templeton High School students
