Welcome to the Rotary Club of Templeton web site. Be our guest for breakfast and learn more about how we serve the Templeton community. We meet Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at McPhee’s Grill on Main Street in Templeton. We are a small, fun group of business professionals with a desire to be of service to our community. We hope that after viewing our web site you will feel welcomed to join us for breakfast and find out for yourself how great it is to be a member of the Rotary Club of Templeton.
This year, John Kenny, the President of Rotary International, has chosen the focus of his Presidency on several areas to maximize Rotary’s effectiveness, strengthen its public image and recognize its new and ongoing challenges. His priorities and goals include: eradicate polio worldwide, advance the recognition and public image of Rotary International, increase Rotary’s capacity to provide service, expanding membership globally, emphasize Rotary’s unique vocational service commitment, optimize leadership talents with Rotary, and fully implement the recently adopted Foundation Strategic Plan. His theme for the 2009/10 year is “The Future of Rotary is in your Hands.” President Kenny understands and recognizes that it is at the individual club level where meeting these goals and challenges must take place. The Templeton Rotary Club, as on of 33,000 clubs worldwide, will do its part to insure President Kenny’s goals are met. We will continue to support funding for polio eradication, we will advance the public image of Rotary, we will emphasize the recruitment and retention of young members and develop and implement a club strategic plan for the next 3 to 5 years period. We will work to continue our commitment to provide scholarships to Templeton High School students, sponsor our local Leadership and Ethics Conference, and continue to support the Holiday Toy and Food Drive and undertake a number of community improvement projects. Each of these efforts will help the Rotary Club of Templeton meet its goals and in turn support President Kenny in meeting his goals.
Take a moment to review our calendar section and consider joining us for one of our local projects. It is not so much what we give, but what we give in order to make a difference in our community and world.
