Jeff Hodge presented our program last meeting. Jeff gave us an update on what is happening in and around the District. There is a discussion going on about the Templeton Park oversight. Right now the county manages the park, but that responsibility may come to TCSD. Another change happening this summer is the retirement of our Fire Chief, and new leadership usually brings more change.

Jeff would like to see more basketball courts around town available to Templeton youth, and more use of Evers Sports Park.

Jeff talked about water and the soon to be completed Nacimiento Water Project.

The project was about 94% complete October of last year and was scheduled for completion around June of this year. However, Jeff said that time line has be extended for completion around October this year.

Currently the District is responsible for approximately 40 miles of water lines, 9 useable wells and one standby, four storage tanks with a combined capacity of 2.7 million gallons, all of which serve 2037 water connections and approximately 5,400 people. The Nacimiento Water Project will definitely help to serve Templeton’s growing community. For more information on this project visit their website at http://www.slocounty.ca.gov/PW/NacWP.htm.
