Dr. Lowell Zelinski gave a presentation at the meeting on Oct 27, concerning north county water problems, “an agriculture perspective.”  Dr. Zelinski has years of experience (almost 30) working with growers, and conducting trials and research with agricultural programs throughout the Central Coast. He is the owner/president of Precision AG Inc. in Paso Robles, which basically provides technical support to the agricultural industry for the North County.

Lowell went over a lot of issues regarding our ground water supply, and discussed some “discrepancies” of the “Todd Report”. According to Dr Zelinski the Todd Report shows “3 times more” water use by vineyards than what is actually being used. For more information on the topic visit them on line at www.precisionaginc.com.

Brenda Cressey to speak at our next meeting, Nov 10,

always informative and a joy to hear!

While I was gone to Virginia, Rae Zamora from Heaven Can Wait, Non-Profit Equine Rescue, Rehabilitation and Sanctuary presented the program last meeting, Nov 3.

Heaven Can Wait is committed to providing abused, neglected and unwanted equines a safe haven where they do not starve, where they will always receive quality care and treatment.

They rescue horses and donkeys from abuse, neglect and abandonment caused by cruelty, ignorance or financial need. HCW acts on the belief that these noble animals, which many  have relied on for so long for survival, deserve to live in comfort, safety and good health until their days are done.

Heaven Can Wait is located on Cerros Pioneros Way, off Hog Canyon Road at Independence Ranch in San Miguel CA. Visit the HCW website for more information.
