At our last meeting, Tom Germin spoke to us about Templeton Feed and Grain. He gave us a thumbnail sketch of their business. They have been here a long time, working on three generations. Tom said the challenge is “being able to change with time. “ He said they hope to continue for another 30 years.
Templeton Feed and Grain is not just a “feed store”, but a feed manufacturing plant that provides "100% balanced rations.” The difference between a feed store and feed manufacturing is “quality control.” All samples are sent out to various government and local agencies for inspection. Their major seller right now is “rabbit feed” followed by “older horse grain.”
A real community based business, Templeton Feed and Grain uses grains from local farmers, sustaining and supporting the local economy.
